Ashby Funhouse Comedy & Curry Night

LAUGHTER IN ASHBY–DE–LA-ZOUCH

Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday July 4th for more fun and laughter.

Topping the bill is the international award winning Scottish comedian Ray Bradshaw, who has supported John Bishop and Frankie Boyle on tour and is the first comedian to ever win a Scottish Culture Award. His hilarious standup style leaves audiences in tears of laughter and his off-the-cuff jokes have the power to make anyone's day a bit brighter.

Opening the night will be Rob Deering who has appeared on the likes of TV’s 'House of Games', ‘Comedy Rocks’,’ Sing If You Can’ and ‘Celebrity Total Wipeout’. He was also the only person in the history of quiz show The Weakest Link, to win the show without getting a single question wrong. With his friendly self-effacing style, he captivates everyone and then using his guitar he gets them onboard with a unique mix of songs and idiocy.

Also appearing will be Kate Martin with her high energy storytelling and razor sharp observations.

Compere for the night is the energetic and chatty Spiky Mike.

Curry with your comedy?

Why not save on the washing up and enjoy a home made authentic curry before the show. We use local producers and suppliers and receive rave reviews on our chef's speciality curries. Curries are just £7.50 and come with the usuals gubbins.

No need to reserve your curry just visit the stage upon arrival. For dessert we have a superb array of flavours of local dairy ice creams from the wonderful cows at Bluebells for just £3.00 a tub.
